Flowering Fields Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set

Flowering Fields” is the name of this Sale-a-Bration stamp set. I just LOVE this stamp set. Can’t wait to create more cards with this set, my mind is racing! How about a pretty birthday card?

I’ve seen cards with fences on them using other flower sets, so I decided to make one using this fabulous set. It didn’t turn out like I had pictured in my mind, but how many cards do? Haha! I thought I would have more fence rails on the card, but I wanted to use our fringe scissors to create grass. We’ll have to imagine the rest of the fence is partly hidden by the tall grass.

Flowering Fields_WM

The fence is stamped using the Hardwood background stamp and popped up using dimensionals. It is also sponged with Soft Suede ink. The red flower is popped up in a much different way.

Flower Tip: On scrap white card stock, stamp the bloom of the flower twice. Fussy cut the entire bloom of the first stamped image (bud and petals), then fussy cut just the bud of the second image. Pop a dimensional under each layer and it will look like a real flower. Club members made this card this month! If you need to place an order, please click here to go to my Stampin’ Up! store.

A Stamp A Day is Back!

Hi Everyone!

Thank you for the emails wondering if all was well since I haven’t blogged in awhile. I truly appreciate your concern. Sometimes life happens and you have to put things on the back burner. Unfortunately my blog was one of the things I had to let go for awhile, a long while! But for now, I’m back in the blogging world again.

When I first started my “A Stamp A Day” blog (gosh at least eight years ago) I started out on WordPress. A friend got me up and running and taught me how to do what I needed. Then someone suggested I switch to Typepad, so I did. Now guess what? I’m back to WordPress. I hope I still have photos of my favorite cards I posted years ago. If I find them, I may post them on this blog. Of course the products will be retired, but it may give you an idea or two for our newer products. I may have “Then & Now” posts to show how you can change up colors, designer series papers, inks and stamps to make a totally different card using the same design. I think that will be fun! I also want to C-A-S-E (copy and share everything) cards from our catalogs. Our catalog is full of ideas!

Guess I better run for now. It’s late and I’m relearning WordPress again. I hope you will sign up to be on my mailing list. Just fill out the form (top right) and I’ll be talking to you soon. Again, thank you for your concern….I look forward to sharing my ideas, tips, cards, and who knows what else (haha). I love Stampin’ Up!
